A Zimbabwean Wedding
Some weddings you just look back at and grin – the sound for the music, the energy of the dancing and the atmosphere of complete joy and celebration grows in your mind and makes you feel like you never left. Angeline and Aaron’s Zimbabwean wedding was exactly this – complete and utter joy. These two were just so in love, but also so down to earth and fun which made my job ever so much easier! From their pre-wedding session I could tell they were relaxed and just loved having photos taken, but at their wedding the idea of capturing such special moments became so much more grand when the dancing and singing started! From the instant of walking into Angeline’s preparation house I was surrounded by joyful, soul touching singing from her aunties, mother, other family and friends. From the touching prayers and singing before she changed into her dress to her arrival at Gold Creek Chapel she was surrounded by the most special sort of love and support from everyone! The dancing down the aisle in the processional was such a great way to kick off a beautiful ceremony and then the dancing at the reception (from the entrance dance, the first dance and the final group dance with the bridal party) topped it! As you can tell, a lot of dancing and singing occurred at this beautiful Zimbabwean wedding, which makes it one of the memorable weddings I’ve worked at to date!
